Anchovy & Lemon Butter Fat-Washed Martini!!

TIME: 10 minutes // SERVES: 2-3 // DIFFICULTY: Easy

Dirty martini (and butter) lovers, this one’s for you!!

We infused (Fat Washed, to be specific!) gin with our Anchovy & Lemon Butter for the ultimate savory and silky twist. It’s briny, buttery, and just the right amount of unexpected — a chef-y take on a bar classic!

WHAT DO I NEED?

For the fat-washed vodka:

  • 1 cup gin

  • 2 tablespoons Churn Anchovy Lemon Butter

For the martini:

  • 2 ½ oz anchovy-lemon fat-washed vodka

  • ½ oz dry vermouth

  • 1 dash lemon or orange bitters (optional)

  • Lemon twist or Castelvetrano olive, for garnish

Make the fat-washed gin:

  1. Melt the Anchovy Lemon Butter in a small pan over low heat.

  2. Pour the melted butter into a jar with the gin. Seal and gently shake.

  3. Let sit at room temp for 1 hour, then freeze for 6–8 hours until the butter solidifies.

  4. Break through the butter cap and strain the vodka through a coffee filter or cheesecloth.

  5. Store refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.

Make the martini:

  1. Add the fat-washed gin and vermouth to a mixing glass with plenty of ice.

  2. Stir 20–30 seconds until ice-cold.

  3. Strain into a chilled martini glass.

  4. Garnish with a lemon twist or a buttery green olive.
