Four Herb Heirloom Tomato Toast

TIME: 15 minutes // SERVES: 2 // DIFFICULTY: Easy

A simple summer toast that lets peak-season tomatoes shine. Crispy, buttery sourdough, juicy heirloom tomatoes, flaky salt, and freshly cracked pepper. Proof that the best recipes don't need much!

WHAT DO I NEED?

  • 2 thick slices sourdough bread
  • 3–4 tbsp Four Herb Butter, softened
  • 1 large heirloom tomato, sliced ½-inch thick
  • Flaky sea salt
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Generously spread the Four Herb Butter over both slices of sourdough, making sure to reach the edges.
  3. Place the bread on a baking sheet and toast for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp around the edges.
  4. Top each slice with a thick slab of heirloom tomato.
  5. Finish with flaky sea salt and plenty of freshly cracked black pepper.
  6. Serve immediately while the toast is warm and the tomatoes are at their peak.
