Maple & Cinnamon Butter Latkes!

These golden, crispy latkes bring together the best of both worlds — the savory comfort of classic potato pancakes, with a sweet & buttery cinnamon twist from our Maple & Cinnamon Butter. Topped with sour cream, applesauce, or just more butter, these are perfect for the holidays or a cozy breakfast any day of the week.

WHAT DO I NEED?

  • 2 russet potatoes, peeled & shredded
  • ½ onion, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup flour or matzo meal
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Neutral oil for frying (like avocado, or ghee!)
  • Maple & Cinnamon Butter (for finishing)
  • Optional: sour cream, applesauce














  1. Grate the potatoes and onion, then squeeze out as much moisture as possible using a clean towel. Combine with egg, flour, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Heat your oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot (around 375 deg) scoop small mounds of latke mix into the pan and flatten slightly. Fry 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. While still hot, add a dollop of Maple & Cinnamon Butter on each latke. Watch it melt and soak in, and enjoy the fruits of your labor! Serve with sour cream and/or applesauce as well if you want!
